| I first joined the remarkable technological revolution of the motor sports
world as an entrepreneur in 1964. In 1973, I took the next step of launching
the Ken Matsuura Racing Service Co., Ltd. That proved to be quite an adventure,
as it was in the midst of an oil crisis, a time when the very future of
motor sports seemed tenuous. However, I was sure that I could make a big
difference simply by staying one step ahead, as the times were lagging
behind. With achievement capping achievement, I managed to continue expanding
right up to the present. I first aspired to follow this route in 1961, when I was only 16 years old. On reflection, I have realized that I have been participating in the world of motor sports for more than 35 years. I was trained by Mr. Yoshimura, who became known as "The God of Engine Tuning" in the world of two-wheel road racing. This training became the foundation for my present work, and since then I have worked on many engines. Thanks to the patronage of my customers, I have been able to establish a number of businesses. I am very proud that my new shop, equipped with the latest facilities, began operation in 1992. Thanks to the good fortune of having an excellent staff, we have enjoyed many fruits of production. In addition, we have undertaken product development by making the most of the expertise we have cultivated in the motor sports field. Today, we are winning widespread praise, and we remain committed to playing an active role in an age when "the genuine article wins." We look forward to your continued support. |
